I checked the availability for a night I was interested in the end of May for November stay, and that Chase night was available. However, when I went to book it online today, I could not do that despite nights for points were available. I went to terms and conditions just to see that it changed! Now the booking and consumption of old certificates have been changed! We were informed about new ones capped at 40K points, etc, but changing terms of the existing certificates is a total scam.

Called IHG, and of course, no resolution even from a manager.
Also the fact award night exists for a night does not aways allow CC (or other) free night cert to be used.

All the free night certs whilst coming out of award night 5% of rooms pool, are only bookable for a reduced subset of that nights 5% pool.
