I don't find it that hard to go from LM to exhibition - several subway stops and one change and you are right there.

Within walking distance is Kerry Center Hotel and Jumeirah. If staying with Marriott, try Marriott Jinqiao or Sheraton Grand. The nearby Renaissance is also doable.
