I actually called PG to ask about the policy and was told directly that they will interline with any of their interline partners irregardless of PG (or any other) codeshares or separate tickets as long as I mention it to the PG agent at KBV.
I assume HKG is a true stop and not a connection? If a connection the story is more complicated.

Regardless, I would never put much faith in what they say, Always allow for the possibility that the TA will have a different view and see your bags checked only to BKK. Better safe than sorry Ulysses. D->I on split tickets is best to assume arriving into the transit airport well early,
