Flying economy comfort on KLM was great, as they had the galley on the side, meaning it was a small cabin just over half the width of the aircraft, 5 seats abreast (3 + 2). Very cosy
Thai had that layout but in Business, making it 2+2 when I flew them two years ago. I didn't like it at all as it made the cabin even darker than usual.
