ISB - Islamabad, Pakistan
Benazir Bhutto International Airport

BA has made lounge arrangements for the new route between Islamabad and London Heathrow. The allocated lounge is called The Lounge, not to be confused with the next door CIP Lounge, the first lounge you will come to, which is run by the Marriott Hotel. The Lounge is slightly further down the corridor to the right of the CIP lounge. Both lounges are on the the sub-floor above the main departure level, with access via stairs and a lift close to gates A1/A3.

The entire airport is modern and very well designed, with very short distances from check-in to the gates. The Lounge isn't particularly eye-catching, in terms of facilities and dining, but it is clean, tidy and modern, with at least a limited range of hot and cold snacks, and non alcoholic drinks. Alcohol is not available in the airport or duty-free shops, and is restricted, but not banned, in Pakistan generally. Pakistan is a Pepsi country, rather than Coca-Cola, so your will see Seven-Up rather than Sprite (and Vimto remains popular in Pakistan). The Lounge has a good range of seating arrangements, and power sources along the wall and on some of the columns down the middle of the lounge.

At the front of the lounge is a food and drink area, with hot Pakistani and Western snacks, such as spring rolls, chicken tikka bites. There are also sandwiches and small cakes, tea and coffee facilities, the latter via a Nescafé Leggero machine, and a water cooler on the end. The entire soft drink range consists of Pepsi (full fat), Mirinda, Seven-Up. There is also orange juice and ice tea available separately.

The usual BA gate is less than 2 minutes from the lounge.
