Depending where you are travelling from, it might be easier and cheaper to ship some of the stuff back. Managing over 100kg of luggage in 4 cases with two young kids and all they entail won't be a breeze. Maybe bring the essential stuff back with you in your two paid bags and arrange for the other stuff to be freighted? The only time I did this it came back on the same plane as me although they obviously didn't guarantee that.
