KOA has recently rebuilt a new and pricey control tower, expanded the entrance road and highway, and is currently doing a remodel on at least part of the terminal. I am sure they will be happy to take some more of UA business. Not sure what the end result of the terminal remodel will be but I am told more will now be indoors.
