Does anyone have an accurate status on the metro connection to XIY airport? A bit of internet research said it should have opened in Dec 2018, but I can't find any evidence of it actually operating. Is there a revised launch date?
The Metro to the airport wasn't opened when we were there in mid May 2019. We asked the taxi driver, who told us that he didn't know when they would open. Apparently, during construction of the airport station, they found some archaeological remains. Of course, I couldn't verify his statements.
