Mactan Cebu airport opened up a new terminal for international flights about a year ago. CX uses the Plaza Premium lounge in this new terminal, as they did in the old terminal. The only other lounge I saw was a Philippine Airlines Mabuhay Lounge.
The access to the lounge is by elevator, one level down from the main departures area. The elevator is close to Gate 22, which was the gate the CX flight used.
The lounge had plenty of space and never got even close to full even as time for the 8:20 pm CX flight neared. Seating was comfortable. Charging stations were plentiful. The lounge has views of the tarmac in 2 directions.
Food options were a bit limited, mostly aimed at Filipino tastes. The adobo looked good though. There is a noodle bar like there is in many CX lounges. The drinks bar is ok, though there is just one kind of red wine, some kind of cabernet.
I noticed one of the shower rooms was out of order. Not a good sign for a place that is only a year old.
The Plaza Premium lounge was a decent and comfortable place to spend before my flight. Luckily I had eaten before going to the airport, so I didn't need much of a food spread. It would be nice if that allowed some kind of stairway access. I never care much for riding an elevator just one floor.
