would like your help with few questions:
1) which hotel is best for fireworks viewing, hopefully from room. Currently have option of Marriott Cambridge, Marriott Boston CP and Sheraton Boston ? I heard there’s construction on the Cambridge site so Marriott Cambridge rooms may have obstructed view, is this true (question for Bostonian ? )
The Cambridge Marriott used to be great for fireworks views, but MIT is now building a high rise between the hotel and the river. The views will be permanently obscured. The Sheraton is quite a distance from the river and might have good views. The best would probably be the Liberty. All will be very expensive for rooms with the necessary river view. All that said, 4th of July in Boston is a sensory experience that's best experienced outside. With your wife's mobility limitations, again the Liberty. It's the closest to the Esplanade and will get you closest to the 4th of July action. If the wife's walking range is 1/4 mile, the Cambridge Marriott could work as well. Both are right next to T stations. That said, it might be too late to reserve a room with a view. All these can be very popular.

Parking is a mess in Boston. Period. 'Nuff said. If you can't wait until you head to NH to get the rental, it doesn't really matter where you are. It'll be a mess. I'm most familiar with the Cambridge Marriott. They have parking in the complex. I can't help on the "In and Out" privileges. I would never rent a car if staying there.

Got a real good rate at the Liberty hotel , luxury collection, for beginning portion of our stay. Is this location good for sightseeing. If so, we can move later for fireworks viewing. Wife has somewhat limited ability to walk .
Thanks ahead for your help and info
Downtown Boston is quite compact. Long Wharf, Liberty, are all within walking distance of each other. My recommendation is find one within close proximity to a T station. Liberty, Long Wharf, and Cambridge all fit the bill there. If you have a good rate at the Liberty, I'd stick with that one and see if you can extend the reservation for the duration of the trip.
