I've been flying Varig LAX-GRU for years now, and the flights are always 95-100% full, BUT I've never seen more than 50 or so pax board at LAX. All the rest are continuing from Japan. As much as I would love to have West coast-Brazil flights on UA, I doubt the demand is there.
