I like being able to look out the window - and the middle seats seem to be relatively far apart. Maybe the best is to both take window seats and we can eat together using the buddy seat?
We had our first First just last month on the A380. Opted for 2K, 3K. Perfect and have selected the same again for our next one. We like to be next to each other but I think in the middle, you have to lean forward a little to be able to speak anyway. Being one behind the other didn't bother us at all. Spend the first 2 and half hours sitting together for pre dinner drinks and then dinner. I went back to my seat with a post dinner drink to watch a film and then we both slept and caught up again with each other when we woke. Obviously I haven't done the middle seats, but to be honest, I don't think I'd bother now. These were absolutely great seats and if you're missing each other, just wander back and sit in the buddy seat for a bit!
