Hi. A friend of mine flew to YEG this evening on an AC Jazz Dash8, in which, the air conditioning was inop, and the cabin temperature was apparently at +40C for pretty much the entire duration of the flight.

He's not an Aeroplan member, this is one of his first times flying. Short of never dealing with AC again, can he receive any compensation, or is it customary for AC to allow any compensation for having to endure this nightmarish situation?

Apparently the situation was so bad that the cabin crew shut down all non-essental electrical equipment that possibly was creating heat, including non-essential lighting.
