Hi all,

In just a few days I will have my first experience flying Qatar J and transferring in Doha on my way to Singapore from Oslo.
On the return, I have a good 12h layover during the day and evening and have decided to go into Doha to explore. I will have checked luggage.

However, I have a few questions I hope you can help me with:

I am reading the following on the Doha Airport website: "Do not follow the signs to ‘Arrivals’. If you wish to exit the airport please approach the transfer desks for assistance" Link: https://dohahamadairport.com/airport...port/transfers.

• How come you cannot go straight to arrivals and then come back through the departures e.g. 2h before departure? What do they do at the transfer desk?
• How long does the immigration take and likewise, how much time do I need when coming back for security and reaching my gate?

I know these are rookie questions, but no experience at all from this airport. Thanks in advance, all!
