Well the 4 chafing dish buffet is what I think they call standard. It was bad.
The hotel was busy as it was memorial day weekend and the chafing dishes were almost always empty. Even the bagel drawer was empty. It was an embarrassment.
Read the Hyatt T&Cs.... it is clear what you are entitled to... they can’t restrict you to a buffet if a menu is available.
In the future: order off menu, charge to room, ask front desk to remove. If necessary... escalate. Your are 100% in the right. The higher you have to escalate the more you’ll receive (i.e. Hyatt points). Plus the hotel will be reprimanded (and probably charged for the Hyatt points you were given) and this will correct the situation for all of us.
