If you want to use DL miles all the way into Scotland then you can try routing via CDG and then AF to GLA, EDI or ABZ but the availability on the CDG<>Scotland legs tends to be poor. Likewise, in theory you can use CO to GLA (currently 767) or EDI (currently 757 - don't worry it *is* ETOPS certified unliked DL's), but award availability is not great. In a few weeks, as KLM enters SkyTeam, we should be able to route through AMS and then onward to Scotland on KLM all as part of a SkyTeam award. Award availabilty on the AMS flights (DL metal) hasn't been too bad this summer, so availability on that routing may be easier than via CDG.

Remember that GLA and EDI are only about an hour apart by car. If you decide to just use the Skymiles for the pond crossing there are many LCCs to consider if you want to get from AMS/LGW/DUB etc. to Scotland. These will not appear on the like of Expedia but PM me if you want some tips.
