Lima has its fair share of beautiful architecture, but otherwise it's a culinary destination. When someone I know is planning a trip to Peru, I always advise them to spend more time than they were planning in Lima just to experience the food. Central, Maido, Kjolle, Astrid y Gaston, Maras, Rafael, Malabar, Amaz, Cosme, Osso, and (for far more traditional Peruvian) El Señorío de Sulco. So much amazing food, you have to at least experience a few of these restaurants if you're in Lima.
