AFAIK, if you intend you use a Star Alliance award for the whole itinerary (North America - Europe), availability for the SQ sector (IAH-MAN) must be in Saver class. Otherwise you will need to use two awards - SQ Advantage award from IAH-MAN and intra-Europe star alliance award from MAN-ZRH.
