I got my bid accepted (405USD) on the 2nd leg of my outward multicity flight from LHR-AMM (2hrs stopover with RJ111) AMM-HKG (1hr refueling in bkk on RJ182) and have been upgraded(very thankful as that stretch is a good 12hrs) - checked online and this means my baggage allowance gets upgraded to 2 pieces @30kg) woohoo!

plus i can have only 1 carryon from LHR to AMM yet 2 carryons from AMM to HKG - although this merely means i can buy lots in the duty free at Amman as I will not be exiting the airport on a 2 hour layover Amman albeit I would love to leave the 2 checked pieces of my luggage there in Amman instead of lugging them to hkg and back.

Luggage storage options within Amman airport? hmm...
