IIRC, there is an option to "logoff". I even can imagine, that, if you logon using a different device, the initial logon/identification is canceled, though I did not try so.
Logging into another device will logout the initial device. But in my last flight, there was an instance that both devices have working wifi for around 30-60min. This was on a B777 equipment.
