Consolidators, such as Expedia and Priceline, own blocks of prepaid rooms at many, many, properties. Connexions often works with Expedia. A room from Expedia's block will be earmarked for your booking, but the property won't know the guest name until Connexions and Expedia release the information. This gives Connexions time to shop the transaction around to see if they can find a lower cost (this is for their benefit, not yours.)
