That's true, though given how full this flight is - I don't think they would leave blocked seating in place on the chance of no show. It's too much work at the airport to reassign seats.
Also there is an entire row of 3 blocked plus this would be an unusual number of elites choosing middle seats.
The blocked seating gets removed bit by bit as people check in so your right there that it doesn't stay in place.
Looking at the seat map now on EF I can see all seats now occupied apart from only 49H, 52 A and J being blocked however they will probably be removed as more check in and there may be op ups too. The JFK seat maps can be very dynamic so I wouldn't be surprised to see a few changes again.
