They can cover some of the shorter-range TATL routes (they did MAD, BCN and DUB last summer out of EWR).
They can cover anything from ORD/IAD/EWR-Europe, this is what UA used for most of their TATL ops ex ORD and IAD prior to the merger. The non-ER planes to Europe had 12F where the ER ones had 10F due to the crew rest location. I can't tell you the number of times I flew ORD-FRA on a N77XUA bird.
