So my flight UA2172 was a 777-200A. After playing around with the app, it looks like it been relegated to domestic duties going from hub to hub and LAX(Is it a hub anymore?) It's one of the birds with the rear facing PMUA seats. Are they just filling in with the 777 while not needed to fly international or is there more to this? I also noticed that I'll be on another 777 again on my LAX - IAH flight come late August which based on flight UA2172, is the same aircraft that turns and heads back to IAH.
I was on a "Polaris" 777 Saturday morning red-eye from LAX-IAH a few weeks ago. Originally selected on of the PP seats, but was upgraded to the mostly empty Polaris cabin at T-48. I think a lot of Silvers were upgraded on that flight.
