My picks from the list (unordered) would be:
1. Playa Provisions (Really solid restaurant from Top Chef Winner Brooke Williamson. Near the beach in Playa Del Rey. )
2. Ayara Lūk (Sadly this outpost closed, but their original Ayara Thai Cuisine is just around the corner, with many of the same dishes.)
3. Coni'Seafood (Just seafood, and delicious. Think ceviche, aguachiles, camarones 15 different ways, and fish tacos)
4. Three Weavers Brewing Company (They don't serve food, but there are some good local places that you can order and bring into Three Weavers to have with your beer.)
5. Grimaldi's Pizzeria (Solid NYC pizza joint)
6. Front Page Jamaican Grille (One of the best Jamaican grills in the area, and there are a lot.)
7. Humble Potato (Japadog and burger concoctions. A better twist on the local burger joints.)
I'd also add:
a) Kanpai Sushi (A bit expensive for the quality, but if you need a local sushi fix, this would be it.)
