We recently stayed at the Swissotel Sydney, and generally agree with superadrianme's assessment. Great location, in downtown Sydney. A short walk to Queen Victoria Building, Hilton hotel, David Jones store, and a few blocks to Town Hall and St. James subway stations. We booked a basic room for $244 AUD, includes breakfast. As Accor Silver, no upgrade and obviously no executive lounge access. Also no welcome amenity in room. Did receive 2 drink coupons. Room same as above photographs, with large bathroom with both bath and shower. We had dinner at the hotel restaurant, which was OK but not outstanding. I am surprised bar and restaurant are on 8th floor, which is check-in level, and not a higher floor with a better views. Check-out time is 11 am. I asked for late check-out, specifically 2 pm, but was only offered noon, which was disappointing. Accor points posted in 4 days. Sydney hotel prices can be expensive, so I thought this was value for money, and we would stay again, depending on price.
