Weekends are always tough. That said, I think I agree with the crowd here. My understanding is that they're not selling all possible J seats on the 763s, because they're worried they may have to swap in the standard-J config. So, I'd say your chances are decent at an upgrade. Currently there are 12 seats booked in J on that flight.
Ok, thanks. I did not know weekends were tougher, I always assumed week days were going to be harder because of people buying J class outright for business trips.
