Desperately switching gears here...

I'll be returning to stay at the Ritz-Carlton Georgetown this coming weekend. It's nice and boutique with only 86 total rooms (including 34 suites) and a beautiful hard product. I had some service issues on my first stay, but their service recovery was so impressive and heartfelt that I've decided to try again. And that was rewarded: they already have upgraded me from the booked entry level room to a one bedroom suite for my stay. (Having Ambassador status clearly helps, too.)

The location is sublime. The hard product is excellent. (The only weak spot was their bar/bistro space, which is slated to be renovated once the Rosewood renovation is completed; apparently, the Georgetown historic corridor only permits one renovation at a time.) And with such good service recovery, I am optimistic for their improved service overall.
