That's going to be a question as to whether NZ can justify having higher capacity aircraft for AKL-LAX-LHR and to deploy strategically on NZ5/6, 7/8 and elsewhere as required. If it is not 777-8 (9 would be a jump further, but maybe better to justify having the 777-X type on top of a pure 787 long haul fleet), then it will just be 787-10 in a premium heavy configuration.
