Try the one near the Broadway cinema which is part of I think a homeless shelter. Full time attendant and a lot of attention to cleaning and reporting any problems. And way better than Star Ferry on the Kowloon side.
The app beats no app if you're not near a hotel with a bar where you can fake being a patron.
