I had forgotten about them since I hadn’t been there since they moved. But it’s pretty awesome and I think your kids would enjoying.
I also really like the aquarium by the bay – although it’s for profit unlike the city aquarium, when I took my niece and nephew they are who are just a bit older than your kids it was just the right size and scale for them to manage and the exhibits are really wonderful.

I can’t speak to the city pass – I actually have never had a good experience getting a pass for any location but there’s a site that I found that talks about the different kinds of passes you can get but you may find helpful.
