TK used to have some of the best catering in the biz. But recently I flew J on TK68 from IST to BKK and the food was atrocious. First, my choice, the tagliatelle in lobster sauce, was unavailable, so there were just two choices. So I said fine, I'll have the chicken. The Turkish mezze starters are always fine - hard to mess that up. But the chicken entree was incredibly dry and tasteless. Then the pistachio ice cream was horrifying - a giant clump of melting goo that was not tasty and looked awful (I couldn't even bear to take a photo of it). What happened, TK? Is it the new airport that caused such a huge drop in catering quality?
