Happy to be proved wrong regarding AC metal btw, as I can fly further if it involves LH/LX metal on my trips to Europe

I've used AC promo codes to book itineraries that were AC YYC<>FRA and LH FRA-xxx within Europe, so I wouldn't agree with your blanket statement that it has to be AC metal.
