Agreed. Though it is wrapped/ sealed and with new cutlery because there is obviously treif around, whereas in the ElAl lounge everything is supplied kosher.
In my mind the parallel would be the difference between attending a kosher supervised function and one where a kosher caterer supplied the food and the host then arranged their own waitresses etc
I agree it's not ideal and I really would expect better of ElAl.
