I'm trying to figure out how an interviewer is supposed to figure out if a potential employee is going to misinterpret a safety regulation at some point in the future. You can't quiz someone on procedures until after they learn them.
If you want someone to blame, it would be the person training the flight attendant about the exact procedures used to secure the cabin for takeoff/landing. Don't blame the interviewer.
