We may have x-posted, but to answer some of your questions...

Apparently they <may> come out on a separate belt at EDI, or may appear with the regular bags. Just pick them up and walk out, unless you're stopped or have something to declare.

2) I usually use the BA T4 arrivals lounge or Terrace lounge. I know they have excellent shower facilities.

Comparing to the AA Arrivals Lounge, should I use the Arrivals Lounge or the BA Terrace lounge in T1? Also how many BA lounges are there in T1?`
Does the AA Arrivals Lounge serve Breakfast?

I'd skip AA, there is a light breakfast, but the lounge is small and oppressive compared to BA. You'll only be able to get to the Domestic Terraces lounge in T1

I will be travelling in J or F on CX to LHR and I am a Gold CX MPO (= Sapphire Oneworld) But from LHR-EDI i will be in Y Class
Am I allowed to use the shower facilities in BA? What about my partner (she is only a Ruby Oneworld) Can I take 1 guess into the Lounge and also she can also use the Shower facilities?

You should both be able to get into the lounge on the strengh of your card. If you're on full Y, you may find yourself booked on UK Business, which will also get you into the lounge

What about the MB Facilities?
Not for you in domestic!

3) I presume if I leave myself 3 hours, I can:
a) use Fast Track to get through immigration
b) use the AA Arrivals Lounge
c) take the underground tunnel to T1
d) go through security
e) use the BA Lounge again! (Prehaps for a second shower?? hahaha)
From memory I don't need an invitation to use the terrace lounge in T4. Is it the same for T1?

Good plan, but I'd skip AA and head for BA at T1, using Fast Track
Thanks
