Will AA let you be creative with routing rules? I'm flying MIA-PHL and then PHL-GSO Monday on separate tickets. I currently arrive PHL at 4:45 PM and don't leave until 9:45 PM. There's both a PHL-DCA-GSO and a PHL-CLT-GSO routing that would get me home early. Worth a shot?
