If you added that information when you purchased the ticket it should be transmitted to IB. Check-in should work fine. Actually, check-in also works through RESIBER as far as I understand. Amadeus is just a selling platform for IB.
You hit my issue: It was not added via AA.COM since it was an AAVacations purchase, and even though you log into your advantage account, it does not sync much data. Things like gender do not come over (although you do specify it on AAV) and you must access the PNR on AA.COM to include PP info, get proper seat selection based on status, etc. Happily it did offer and transmit my desired Iberia seats! But since it was not present at PNR creation, I doubt AA.COM sent it over to IB when updated - but one never knows!
