Operating PNRs on IB reside in RESIBER, which uses a five alpha-numeric locator. These do not work on iberia.com. It is Iberia's own host system. Once you have selected a seat via a deep link from aa.com, you can't change it (via the same process). You need to call IB to effect any changes if you only have the RESIBER number. Thanks for that explanation. It further clarifies what I was last told. My real interest was ensuring PP info and any required advance passenger info was correct and on file for my return to the U.S. But I suppose/hope when I attempt OLCI for the return to the U.S. using name/ticket # the Iberia website will solicit/verify the information then, rather than inhibit OLCI? (My last Iberia flight was U.S. to E.U. with an initial AA segment, so this was not an issue as I did OLCI with AA.
