You could try calling AA. I just booked a trip on IB via AA and the AAgent was able to assign a seat.

You could also try going to the Royal Jordanian website, going to "Manage Booking," and enter your AA record locator + name. It should give you your Iberia record locator, and then you can try to pick a seat on Iberia.com.
