I would HUCA during normal US business hours on Monday. A lot of the AAgents and Supervisors working nights and weekends can be totally clueless, or just don't have the experience and/or training to tackle anything hit the simplest issue.
sounded strange to me too. But I spoke with her fo a good while and she said there is no way to unblock the reservation other than to go speak to an agent at the airport due to a previous conversation.

The reason for the block was because I told the agent that I refused to physically restrain my child and would blame AA if the person in front of me was upset that my pregnant wife and daughter were bumping there seat. She said I was threatening to cuase a scene on a plane even though I repeatedly told her she wasn't listening to what I was saying. We are one of the families that bring gift baskets to the people sitting next to us so that we aren't inconvienving anyone with our child. (She is not a good flyer but we don't have a choice because my wife's mother is sick overseas)

this is very annoying
