Thanks everyone for your tips and advice. Thanks to a few of you I was able to speak to AA and because of the change of aircraft I should have been given the option to change the ticket. Unfortunatly the first agent I spoke to must have been having a bad day because now I have a block on my reservation and only the agents at the airport are able to unblock it. Supervisor I spoke on the phone doesn't know why the first agent didn't process the involuntary change and has made notes in my account for the gate agent.
Hopefully i I can get it all resolved in a few days at the airport.
