I voiced concern for the passenger in front of us as my daughter prefers mommy rather then me so with a pregnant belly and a 20 month old there will be no way that his/her seat is not being kicked or bumped the entire 9 hour flight. They said I need to control her and restrain her. I told her that there was no way I'm restraining my 20 month old daughter and the agent had the nerve to take that as a threat that I was purposely going to disrupt the flight.
From what you've posted above I suspect you may be coming across as entitled and hitting a wall as much because of attitude as anything else.

Asking for something often works better than demanding it.

Safe travels,
