Well, that’s what Full Disk Encryption, Secure Boot configurations and backup solutions have been invented for.
Got my computer robbed at gun point in Barcelona last year, nothing you can do to protect against that.
But than it is good to in the mugger can’t do anything wit it. Not even sell it, as it won’t even boot up without the key/password and setting up the replacement was a matter of a few hours.
