I 100 % agree with Steve, even if I have not a very recent experience: I have totally stopped to fly KLM 3 years ago, after precisely a terrible AMS-BKK-AMS flight: the comfort was inexistent, the food was unedible, and the crew on the onward journey had not any idea of how to manage the flight to help adjust to time change: they let the cabin lights on when they should have been turned off long ago.

On the other hand the EVA DeLuxe Eco is a great product for those who are mainly looking for comfort at a reasonable price. I have used it persistently for years to fly from CDG to SGN, even with the far longer travel time (CDG-TPE: 13/14 hours, plus TPE-SGN: 3 hours, plus connection).
