My answer is no, accidents happen there was no intent here and generally putting a bottle of liquid in the same bag as a laptop then handing it over to a concierge is not a great idea but equally you should expect to get it back in the condition you handed it over. So the Op made a error in creating a situation where a accident is more likely to occur but this does not excuse the hotel for what happened. The hotel however does not seem to be hiding on this one and is willing to compensate for the damaged laptop. If the hotel had tried to pretend it didn't happen when they had the laptop or quote a waiver freeing them of responsibility I would be all for trying to get more out of them. Accidents happen and they are acting in good faith, no more should be needed.
