Same here. Took 2 tries for me to get an agent to send the 5k match request. However, for my wife, no luck after three HUCAs.
First statement close date was on the same day I requested the 5k match. No statement was issued as the card still had a zero balance, but 5k miles showed up in my AA account following day. Confirmation letter followed a week later. For my wife's account, tried again yesterday and was Ok'd by CSR. Will see if it posts.
