I had AA lower their fares to that I found on orbitz a few times already. Its not for the 1000 miles bonus that I do this as with Orbitz you cant put the res on 'HOLD' for 24 hrs, nor choose your seats. Then theres the usual 2500 bonus miles Ill be getting if I book on AA.com from the ERewards program.
To get them to match call AA.com at 800-222-2377 choose option #2. Today the 1st rep said they dont do it and the same fare wasnt available. so I hung up and called back and sure enough when the 2nd one looked at all the flights as point to point it came up with the slightly lower fare. a tank of gas for the car.
