Unless she's willing and able to fly RDM-SEA, you need to change the ticket. If you call, a competent agent should be able to explain your options and the cost of each. Most nonrefundable DL international tickets, including D1, seem to have change fees of $300 but I've seen some that are $450. There can be advantages (money!) in putting Lincoln into the same ticket if this doesn't cause problems for reimbursement, etc., so that Lincoln would be a stopover on an international RT to Paris, which would probably give her confirmed FC on all domestic segments with a FC seat available.
If Lincoln is a work trip, in principle the employer should pay the additional costs, especially if she goes to Paris directly from Nebraska, but I wouldn't expect this from a university (guessing based on what's in Lincoln).
BTW, from MSP there's an early DL flight on the 777 with suites (and apparently both PS and C+) and a later AF flight to CDG. Another option is to connect through DTW (can we assume that DLConnection doesn't serve Lincoln from DTW, just MSP?), while IND, PIT, RDU, JFK, ATL are probably legal routings too if there's limited D1 fare class availability. The cheapest MSP-CDG D1 RT fare than I've seen is a bit over $3000, IIRC with a 28 day advance purchase requirement, but D class (unrestricted RT but not last seat availability sand still 150% MQMs or 12,666 RT) is about $10,000-$12,000 when I last looked.
