Upgrades at both hotels, while previously common under Starwood, are now few and far between.
Off topic but i booked this hotel the first day it was available to book and I'm almost certain it was already 30-35k starwood points, so 90-105k marriott points. Also, the hotel significantly tightened up inventory a long time before the transition to marriott.
